Our objective was to elevate the Coogee Live visual identity into a high-performing digital experience that balances creativity with usability. While the brand provided a strong visual foundation, our focus was on translating this into a website that not only looks engaging but functions seamlessly for a broad and diverse audience.
A key priority was accessibility. As a large-scale, community-focused festival, the website needed to be inclusive and easy to navigate for all users. This informed decisions around layout structure, colour contrast, typography, and content hierarchy, ensuring information could be quickly understood and accessed across all devices and user needs.
We also aimed to create an experience that reflects the scale and energy of the event while maintaining clarity. This meant designing with intent, allowing users to easily explore the program, understand what’s on, and plan their visit without friction.
Ultimately, the goal was to deliver an award-worthy website that combines strong visual storytelling with thoughtful UX, setting a benchmark for local government event websites and reinforcing Coogee Live as a standout cultural experience.
