Fremantle is about to get a whole lot tastier! From the same owners who gave us the amazing and extremely popular Sana Freo and Sandrino, comes their latest instalment on this food adventure – Frida Mexicana.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, this brand-new restaurant is all about celebrating the bold, vibrant, and colourful culture of Mexico. Frida Mexicana is not your average Mexican restaurant: bringing in South American influences that have resulted in a menu that’s bursting with exciting new tastes and flavours.

So what can you expect from Frida Mexicana? Open 6 days a week (closed Monday) for both breakfast and dinner, prepare to have your taste buds tantalized with dishes like tostadas, tacos, burritos, and more.

However, their absolute MUST-TRY dish is ‘Mole Pablano’ – slow-cooked beef served with a complex traditional Mole sauce, made from a balanced blend of dried chillies, spices, and chocolate. Yep, chocolate!

But it’s not just about the food at Frida. The restaurant has been designed to transport you straight to the heart of Mexico, with bold and colourful decor, music, and a lively atmosphere that’s sure to get you in the fiesta spirit.

And taking it that one step further, they wanted to embody more than just Frida Kahlo’s art. Her worldview and inclusivity of the queer community have been adopted into their core values, ensuring absolutely everyone feels safe and welcome when dining.

So if you’re looking for a fun, flavourful, and unforgettable dining experience, be sure to check out Frida Mexicana – the newest addition to Fremantle’s food scene. With its unique fusion menu and colourful Frida-inspired decor, it’s sure to become one of your new go-to spots!
