Here’s what we know so far about Instagram Threads:

  • Connected to your Instagram account.
  • Posts can include photos, videos (up to 5 minutes) and external links.
  • Posts can be up to 500 characters long. 
  • You can choose who replies to your Threads, whether this be everyone or only your followers. 
  • Your account can be private or public.
  • Your Threads account and Instagram account are separate properties. If you delete your Threads account this will not delete your Instagram profile. 
  • You can’t edit a Thread once it’s been posted, but you can delete it.
  • You can only search for accounts, not keywords or hashtags etc.

  • Post: Individual piece of content “Did you see their post”
  • Reply: Replying to a Thread “Have you replied to the post”
