Word Of Mouth Agency began working with Major Blue Air in October 2022 on a digital marketing package focusing on Google Adwords. Previously running ads themselves through what they had learnt online, Major Blue Air weren’t getting a high enough return on investment and didn’t have the time nor the expertise to monitor and adapt campaigns regularly.

Major Blue Air is a Perth flight school that offers both part-time and full-time courses for students at the beginning of their pilot careers up to more advanced training. This includes licences from Recreational Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence all the way up to Flight Instructor Ratings.

Our Services

Our digital marketing team had an initial meeting with Major Blue Air to determine their main goals, target audience, budget, and service/product to promote. From this, we concluded the best way forward would be through a dedicated Google Ads campaign to increase brand awareness and lead generation.

The team conducted a competitor analysis, internal search engine optimisation (SEO) ranking, and keyword research before developing a marketing plan and local target audience breakdown. To ensure we could accurately measure each campaign, Google Tag Manager was implemented into the Major Blue Air website and linked up with Google Analytics (GA4).

Although we did not build their website, we also offer basic support and management as needed.

The Outcome

Major Blue Air wanted to promote their Trial Introductory Flight (TIF) to get people in the door and potentially lead them to sign up for further services and qualifications. We ran campaigns to multiple target audiences; thrill seekers, gift givers, and people interested in flight school.

In the first month, we saw a 94% increase in lead generation through their enquiry form and direct phone calls, and from those leads a 37% increase in conversion rate. Their website traffic, pages, and average session time grew exponentially, with an additional 1,571 users visiting on average each month.
